Drunk Umbrellas

I was walking down fifth Ave today, by central park, when I passed an adorable old lady. She was carrying an umbrella to shade her from the ridiculous amount of heat Manhattan is enduring today. But it wasn't just any umbrella. I swear it was an exact replica of one of those little drink umbrellas I used to love pushing up and down up and down in my Shirley Temples as a kid. Then it hit me for the first time...drink umbrellas were replicas of real umbrellas! Yes yes it seems silly that I never realized that before. It's just funny to think about something that is so engraved in your mind from your childhood in a new light.

Stay cool everyone!
