I'm currently at BNA airport--Nashville, TN. Trying to fly to NYC to see my fiancé, Henry. After the tragedy in Chicago this morning, my flight is delayed a few hours. I was productive; I got my homework done, which is a plus. But now with some time to kill, I have to share the funniest bathroom conversation I've ever had.
I was in the bathroom braiding my hair and putting on my makeup (I had to get ready in a rush at home, don't judge! haha) And then a lady in a bright pink outfit comes in the bathroom and walks right up to me, standing about 6 inches from my face she exclaims, "WOW I like your braid! Can I watch you braid!?" I started laughing and showed her how I was braiding it. I told her she had beautiful hair and she got excited then she went into the stall and I thought that was the end of it.
She came out of the stall upset saying, "Dam* it! I was going to sneak a cigarette in the bathroom but I dropped my lighter in the toilet! Ugh! I wonder if they sell lighters in the airport!" My first thought is, what? You can have a lighter on an airplane? So I joined her in conversation saying, "Oh it'll be okay! How long until you land?" She then proceeded to tell me that she had just landed in Nashville. To which my thoughts wondered, then why don't you just go home and smoke? But my thoughts were interrupted by her telling me that her and her boyfriend had just gotten home from a cruise, but that he better marry her soon, or she's going to leave him! Meanwhile I'm standing there quietly braiding my hair as she continues. She tells me how they've been together for 8 years, and he's got 5 months to purpose or she's out of there! And she's going to go move to Texas and meet a young hot cowboy, because her man is getting "old and fat." --------
What, in the world...am I supposed to say to that? I just smiled and nodded and listened to her story, and before I knew it she was gone. It was such a...unique experience, I wondered if it even happened. But either way, I hope wherever she is I wish her the best of luck in her endeavors.
Thanks for listening to me ramble about the most random bathroom conversation ever.
