Modern Day Slavery

Did you know that there are an estimate of 30 million people living in slavery today?  Did you know that 60,000 of them are estimated to be in the United States?  Worldwide 70% of the people in slavery are women, and more than half are children.  There are more people in slavery today, than there has ever been in the history of humanity.  Human trafficking generates about $32 billion a year worldwide.

These are just a few of the facts that terrified me about modern day slavery.  What can we do to help? We can help by spreading awareness, and donating to charities that are helping people escape a life in slavery.
