Welcome to the "Real World"

Hello there world of blogging, I'm sorry I haven't written in awhile.

I used blogging a ton in the last few months to study for psychology tests...and I have to say it did help. I brought up my test scores from a 68% to a 84%! Thanks to blogging, I graduated college!

So what am I doing in the "real world?"

LIVING IN NEW YORK!

I've been going back and forth between Nashville and New York for a few years now, but I'm glad to finally be here full time.  I'm doing some digital marketing and graphic design work and loving it, but the best thing about being out of college, is finally really being able to focus on music.

Yesterday I got to spend six hours on music.  I did ear training, practicing learning my intervals.  I practiced a few cover songs and started writing a new song.  I worked on memorizing the notes on my fret board.  I even took a song I was writing, picked the melody notes out on the piano, then put it down on sheet music! I've never done that before! Then I just did a ton of reading about the industry and songwriting in general.  Today I booked my first show of the year, at The Bitter End, NY's oldest rock venue, where SO many greats have played before. (I put a list at the bottom of this blog.)

Well guys, time for me to go write some music.
