Did you hear the voice on the walkie-talkie?
Is it too good to be true?
Could it really be Glenn calling for help?
Here are the facts that look positive followed by their negative counter arguments:
- It wasn't Rick's voice yelling "help" on the walkie-talkie
- But that doesn't prove it's Glenn
- Maggie is pregnant
- All the more reason to make Glenn's death more dramatic
- The director has said we will see Glenn again in some form
- "In some form" sounds like a poorly veiled description of the undead.
- Glenn doesn't die like this in the comics
- But it's not like they always follow the comics
- Nicolas' body fell on top of Glenn when they fell into the mosh pit of walkers
- But then again, they were still in a MOST PIT of walkers!
- There was more than enough room for Glenn to fit under the dumpster
- But then again there was also more than enough room for the walkers to crawl under after him.
- When Glenn fell off of the dumpster he fell on his back and his walkie-talkie was clipped on his hip so it probably wasn't smashed on impact
- Then again, as previously stated, he's still surrounded by walkers so unless he's unbitten the walkie-talkie might as well be in pieces
- When the walkers are pulling out "Glenn's" guts, they're being pulled out of where Glenn's heart would be!
- Then again, TWD loves showing guts being ripped out, and if that is Glenn they couldn't have his heart ripped out, he would die right away and you wouldn't get to see the dying face they show with most major characters.
- In an interview Norman Reedus says we'll find out who it is "pretty quick!"
- Then again Norman Reedus also said "It's not Glenn! Don't ask me! It's not Glenn!"
So what do you think? I've heard and read hundreds of wild speculations by now. My favorite being that Glenn crawls under the dumpster and uses a flare gun to burn a hole in the bottom of the dumpster, then again in the top. Then he walks back to Alexandria with the dumpster around him like armor! If only life were so simple :)
