Last Day of my Job, First Day of my Career

One year and two days ago I began working at Primary Wave Entertainment / BrightShop Marketing.  I always thought that when I got out of college I would just jump into doing music full time, but a year after graduating I know I made the right choice.  I have spent the last year working and building my portfolio and network, and now I feel confident and ready to take the leap and do music full time. I'll still be doing freelance web design/graphic design (if you need a website here are some of the sites I've built!) But from now on, music will be my main focus!

I played two shows last weekend, and I have another one tomorrow night at Caffe Vivaldi.  It feels so good playing again.  I'm so ready to spend my time writing, recording and performing.

I keep feeling like I should be scared--I even keep telling people I'm scared, but that's just because I think I should be.  The truth is, I'm not scared, I'm excited. Ecstatic. I used to have the "everything will work out" mentality, and I realize that that made me lazy, haha! Nothing will just "work out," and I'm so excited to realize that more of the time than not, my life is in my hands.


So here it goes! Today I might be quitting my job, but I'm starting my career!
