Here are 6 simple rules to live by!
1. AVOID HEAT!
This isn't quite a secret, but that doesn't make it any less true! Use as little heat as possible on your hair, you're already frying it with the bleach it doesn't need your straightener killing it every day! I highly recommend simply blow drying your hair. This will still let you fix your hair without the damage of a 400 degree straightener!
2. Coconut Oil is your best friend
Use coconut oil in your hair at least once a week! If you have thick hair I recommend sleeping with it in your hair overnight, but thin hair you can probably get away with leaving it in for 30 minutes. It is also so helpful to simply take it in the shower with you and use it in your hair before you shampoo and condition to help add moisture to your hair! (Coconut oil is also incredible on your skin, face, used as makeup remover, lip balm, and to cook with! It's basically magic.)
3. Purple Shampoo
Use purple shampoo to keep the brassiness out of your hair! If you want the bright white Khaleesi look, use it every other day. If you're more going more Christina Aguilera you can get away with using it twice a week.
Argon oil is a great product to add to your hair daily. I put a ton in my hair before I blow dry it and before I comb it. I also put a TON of the oil on the ends of my hair daily to keep them hydrated!
This is my favorite Argon Oil! (It's also great for your skin!)
I'm actually terrible at this one! I trim my own hair usually every other week just by lightly trimming the ends because I'm too terrified of someone else cutting it off (had a bad experience once where I said 2 inches and the guy cut 8...to be fair my hair DID need it, but regardless, it left me with salon trust issues!) But if you DO have a salon you trust please trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to keep it at it's healthiest!
This is actually something I didn't know until recently. Wet hair is MUCH more easily damaged than dry hair! So don't braid your hair wet, don't sleep with your hair wet, don't comb your hair if it is extremely tangled while wet, don't put a hair tie in while wet...just basically leave your hair alone until it dries! This will save you major breakage!
