KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid!
While songs can be stories, we don't have room for all of the normal side plots and twists that a novel or movie would have in just three and a half minutes. Keep your lyrics simple and don't add too many themes/ideas. I know it's tempting to want to use all of your great ideas, and you can! You just might need to save them for the next song!
