There's something I haven't spoken very much about, and I think it is because I've yet to admit to myself that it's happening--I'm writing a novel. Have you ever watched the show New Girl and whitened Nick talk about writing his Zombie Novel?
That's how I feel when I tell people I'm writing a book, but I have to admit to myself that this really is happening!
Yesterday I hit the ten thousand word mark of the rough draft and I have each chapter mapped out (of course I'm sure it will change 100 times over the next year.) But I'm still excited, I feel like it is really happening.
The reason I'm writing this post now is because last night something really exciting happened, I had a dream as one of my characters. I wish I remembered the plot of my dream, but I don't. I just know I was seeing from his point of view, living his life. I was dreaming as a fictional character who only exists in my minds eye! I woke up feeling even closer to the character and the plot than I did when I went to sleep last night.
So, for the future, along with my songwriting tips every day, expect random ramblings of my downfalls and triumphs on my road to writing a novel!
PS. Watch Stranger Than Fiction it blew my mind!
