Tip #35: Always know who you are addressing
When writing a song, always know exactly who you are singing to. Are you singing to a specific lover? Are you singing a song to everyone who hold a certain belief? Are you singing a song to yourself? Are you telling a story about someone in third person? Make sure you are always singing your song to someone, if not, how else could they hear you?
