Tip #40: Play your songs live!

Many songwriters feel scared to play their songs live before they are "perfect," but a big part of the writing and rewriting process is seeing how your songs develop over time and seeing how your songs work with a live audience.  Don't be scared to play your songs live!

And don't be scared to play your songs live the week you write them.  Audiences love it when you tell them "I just wrote this song this week, and you're the first people to hear it!" It give the audience an experience that they know is unique to just that show that no one else will ever get!
