Note to songwriters: WRITE DOWN CHORDS

I'm in a write with the lovely talented Mary Kutter & Lydia Dall, and we are finishing a song we started a few weeks ago. This song is heartwrenching and beautiful and makes me feel things in the core of my soul...ahhh! (I can't believe I'm a writer on this song! 💗)

But anyways, last write we forgot to write down what chords we played/what capo we wrote it on.  So it took us the first 10 minutes figuring out which capo and which chords we were playing. BUT now we have it figured out and we are well on our way to having a full song!

So here are my simple steps to remembering your song!
(Yes, yes, it seems simple and obvious but it works!)

1. Open Google Docs
2. Create new Google Doc
3. Share with cowriters!
4. Write your amazing lyrics in your Google doc
5. Write down chords/capo
6. Record voice memo
7. Add voice memo to google doc folder and share with cowriters

And there you have it! You'll never forget your songs again :)
